1.AVATAR The movie The Last Aibender
M. Night Shyamalan and his crew are working working hard on the Last Airbender, the live-action movie adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender", the acclaimed animated series aired on Nickelodeon.

The story follows the adventures of Aang, a ten year old successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.”

Shyamalan’s take on Avatar The Last Airbender is going to be a bit darker than the animated series. But M. Night Shyamalan stated that he was doing the movie for a large public so it won’t diverge by too much.

The Harry Potter series as written by J. K. Rowling may have 7 books but it has been decided to split the story of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book, into two parts for its movie adaptation. The decision has been made both to keep the cash cow going a bit further and to delve deeper into the details of the final clash between Harry Potter and his nemesis the evil Lord Voldemort. Well fans won't mind to have two parts even if it means to wait longer to get the final ending!

Thanks to Snitch Seeker (here) we may have a first look at Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I

5.Iron Man 2
Genre:Action/Sci Fi/Superhero
Directed by: Jon Favreau
Starring:Robert Downey Jr.,Terrence Howard replaced by Don Cheadle,Gwyneth Paltrow
Movie Release Dates: May 7, 2010

Emboldened by the recent success of the first Iron Man directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Marvel has given its green light to a second Iron Man movie (there are even talks about making a third movie).
Iron Man should reprise most of the initial cast, Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard (update: replaced by Don Cheadle) and Gwyneth Paltrow, under the direction of Jon Favreau. The Iron Man sequel is slated for an release at the end of April 2010.
No official synopsis has been unveiled yet. But some tracks are likely for Iron Man 2:
- a first job with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in a struggle against some evil mastermind, before getting more involved in the Avengers initiative in an other movie: indeed, if you waited for the end credits of Iron Man you may have seen Nick Fury making an offer to Iron Man.
- the Mandarin: he is Iron Man's nemesis and the leader of Ten Rings, the secret organization we've already had a glimpse of in the first Iron Movie (The Afghan terrorist was indeed wearing the ring of the evil group).
- Demon in a bottle: in the comic book Tony Stark vainly strives to cope with his guiltness of selling weapons in the past and is depressed after loosing Pepper Potts who fell in love with an other man. So Iron Man 2 could dwell on this darker side of Marvel's superhero. But it may not be attractive enough for the marketing team... Besides Jon Favreau would have asserted that such a theme has already be done in Hancock.
- War Machine: In Iron Man 2, Don Cheadle (who is replacing Terrence Howard because the guy was to greedy for Marvel), in the role of Jim Rhodes Tony Stark's friend and pilot, may get a wider role as War Machine, giving a hand to a temporarily weakened Iron Man.
Mostly speculations for now but details about the plot of Iron Man 2 should leak out in a not too distant future. But maybe you have a suggestion to Marvel and Jon Favreau about Iron Man 2?

6.Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is based on the 2003 game of the same name, developed and released by Ubisoft.
The trailer features our first look at what promises to be an adventure story on a large scale, with Jake Gyllenhaal as the thinly accented Prince, trying to escape with a very special dagger and hide it before the forces of evil (played by Ben Kingsley and Toby Kebbel) can get it and use it for, well evil. At his side is the smooth-skinned, mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) who serves as both his and our guide in this trailer.
Mike Newell-directed film to come barreling out with such a grande teaser trailer. But once put into context with Jerry Bruckheimer as producer, it makes sense. This movie feels very much like it will be to video game adaptations what Pirates of the Caribbean was to theme park ride adaptations — the exception to the rule. A fun, entertaining and exciting film where no such thing should ever be".
The release date for the movie is given as 27th May 2010, so expect it about a month after that down under.
