Glenn reveals to the group that Hershel is keeping walkers in his barn. Rick pleads his case to Hershel, pulling the "my wife is pregnant" card, in an effort to convince him to let the group stay. Meanwhile, Dale takes Shane's gun down to the swamp to hide them. Shane tracks him and demands his guns back. Dale points his gun at Shane, however he backs down not wishing to become like Shane.Meanwhile, Hershel asks Rick to help him and Jimmy fish some walkers out of a nearby pit of quick sand. He tells Rick the group can stay so long that they do not shoot the walkers. They arrive at the farm as Shane is coming back from the swamp and is handing out weapons to the group members.Shane sees the snared walkers and goes berserk. He yells at Rick and Hershel, pulls out his sidearm and shoots one of the walkers multiple times, claiming that someone who is alive would not keep coming. Hershel doesn't know what to say. Shane finishes off the walker with a headshot, grabs a pick axe and breaks open the barn door. Walkers pour out and the group members open fire. Once the dust clears and the walkers are dead, one final walker emerges. Sophia. The group stare at her in disbelief until Rick finally steps up and shoots her in the head.
